SmithsonHill in partnership with the London Stansted Cambridge Consortium (LSCC) will be attending the annual MIPIM conference in Cannes, France.

MIPIM, an annual real estate business event, showcases the world’s leading property market over 20,000 m2 of exhibition space. Representatives from over 90 countries attend the event, looking to develop their business and discover new investment opportunities.

SmithsonHill attends the exhibition to support growth across the LSCC. As part of their ongoing commitment to support the LSCC, SmithsonHill’s Managing Director Emma Fletcher will be presenting on the London Stand Wednesday 15th at 4pm ‘Delivering for the knowledge economy’ alongside a number of prestigious panel members.

Emma said: ‘The LSCC links key cities, towns and institutions across the corridor. Together the bigger picture and infrastructure is delivered beyond district, County and LEP boundaries and hold the power to lobby government for greater support throughout the corridor.’

SmithsonHill are announcing a new initiative with the LSCC to create a specific AgriTech dialogue within the corridor. The new AgriTech group is working to bring together a common narrative amongst farmers and processors, and help realise the potential for research conducted with leading academic institutions such as the University of Essex, Rothamsted, University of Cambridge and University of Hertfordshire.

Emma Fletcher, SmithsonHill Managing Director said: “As investors in people we are very excited to be working on this initiative especially the focus on involving the upcoming generations in the AgriTech space.”

SmithsonHill will also be sharing publicly details of a proposed new development – ‘ARC’ – a globally significant centre for AgriTech located in Cambridge whose ambition is to commercialise research and bring much needed new technologies to fulfil global food demand.
